hello sir, CT report of the patient says 1) Right maxillary sinus and bilateral anterior ethmoid air cells shows mild mucosal thickening. sugeestive of minimal chronic inflammation. Partial narrowing of bilateral mazillary ostia is seen due to mucosal thickening. 2) The bony nasal septum is mildly deviated to the right. 3) Mild bilateral inferior turbinate bypertophy seen. Sir please guide me what are the symptoms are they dangerous? remedies if any, suggestions if any
Hello! The CT report indicates that the big sinus on the right side and small ethmoid sinuses on both side show some signs of inflammation - maybe a response to infection or allergy. Also the narrowing of the opening may be related to the same. As regards the deviated nasal septum, almost everyone has some amount of nasal deviation, hence we can ignore that for now. From the CT reports, I would say it seems like the patient has either acute or chronic sinusitis, possibly allergic. However, I would like to know the reason why CT scan was done in the first place? What were the symptoms of the patient?
